It has been a dreadfully busy week for me when it comes to the film-maker’s lifestyle. I have both enjoyed the release of a short film (I will drop the link below), finished the edit for my feature film which is now going to be sent off to an international film festival and even managed to make yet another social awareness ad. The ad is called Skin Deep, was filmed for one day for the tiny fee of £100 and could be some of my finest work yet. I am very proud of it and I cannot wait for you to see it. In the meantime, please watch my new release, Shadow. I would love for the view count to leap up, so every like, comment and perhaps even a share around social media will help me out dramatically. Call it payment for organising this Fantasy Acting League, if you like…

Okay, I will stop blabbering on and talk about the Fantasy Acting League. This one is a little bit of a filler round with only a few teams scoring. What I can tell you is that Marked Movies loses the top spot he fought hard to get last time and two players have jumped up the rankings. Are you one of those two players? Read on to find out.

Round Analysis

Well, it couldn’t last forever. However, few expected Cinema Parrot Disco to climb the rankings with such ferocity after losing it briefly last round. Marked Movies still hovers in the game, but a lacklustre week for not just him, but for most of the teams, means that he needs to get a boost sometime soon. Cinema Parrot Disco rarely lets her enemies sneak up on her, especially with a Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman hit just around the corner. Meanwhile, it is What About the Twinkie and Lily from What About Movies (let’s call them the Whats!), were the MVPs of the week, scoring 12 points each. Once again, this year proves to be the most exciting yet, with such a tight formation of players. Honestly, if we were inclined to bet on this little internet competition, it would be open season. I cannot call the winner. However, I cannot help but wonder if it would have been a different story if Empire magazine had bothered to review The Circle. Emma Watson would have helped several teams climb up the rankings and there would have been a few nods of approval for John Boyega grabbing some non-Star Wars points. Alas, maybe next week…

  1. Damn! That lead didn’t last long 😉
I’ve just realised that The Snowman is out this year, though. Fassbender and JK Simmons could really do me a turn with that one.
It’s a tight race this year. Exciting stuff! 🙂

  2. Woohoo! Back in the lead! Now… Luke – Will you be annoyed if I say that John Goodman is credited as being in that new Transformers movie? Not that its rating would gain me many points! 😉

  3. I second the John Goodman plug for Transformers. Even if it helps CPD, I need all the help I can get. Dang, it’s like all of Maika Monroe’s movies aren’t even going to see release this year!
