The penultimate round. One more to go. Then we will know who wins the very first Fantasy Acting League. There has been some drama this year and I cannot wait to reveal the winner (of which I may already know whom it is!) And in all honesty, I was going to skip this round. Spoiler alert: only three of our actors actually scored anything this round. I thought it was going to be a feeble build-up , but it turned out that it actually shook the table quite nicely. At the very least, this episode of Fantasy Acting League resets the tasble, so we all have an exciting finale. There are quite a few candidates who could take the crown. I am thrilled for you to see who lifts that trophy.

And as for 2016’s acting league. I have given you some time to think about your teams. So please, if you want to take part in next year’s epic tournament, drop me an email at shl00801@myport.ac.uk with your chosen teams. That is three actors and three actresses that you think will score the most points in 2016. The rules are explained clearly in this article. The most important thing for you to know is that you only have until the 16th January to let me know what your final teams are. I want to have as many teams as possible next year, so invite your friends and let’s make this a battle to remember. And now: on with the scores!

Bradley Cooper – 3 (Burnt: Lead role: 3; Two Stars – 0)
Sienna Miller – 3 (Burnt: Lead role: 3; Two Stars – 0)

Round Analysis

Well, it could only last for so long. The almighty Cinema Parrot Disco is back in the lead. All she needed was to scrap a few points together with a modest performance from Sienna Miller and she rushed ahead of the underachieving Marked Movies. Is this the last we’ve seen of Marked Movies or does he have one more final push in him? Not that this means that it is an easy win for Cinema Parrot Disco yet. While Verbal Spew has been quiet for two rounds running now, there is stiff competition from Mr. Movie with a whopping ten points and thr South African ladies made some headway this round with the help of one Katniss Everdeen. In fact Jennifer Lawrence has helped out a lot of people this time around, lifting several players a few places ahead in the league. I cannot help but feel the finale is going to be one to remember.

Come back tomorrow for the Finale of Fantasy Acting League 2015.

      • Haha! It’s been great fun. I’ve enjoyed the contest immensely. I think it’s between you and Mr.Movie but who knows, maybe Movie Rob can stage a miraculous come back?! 😉

      • Bwahaha! Poor MovieRob. I thought he’d win this thing with that Meg Ryan choice. 😉 Mr. Movie definitely got it last minute with Lawrence – my people aren’t in anything else. I blame Sam Rockwell!

      • Haha! Who’s Meg Ryan?? 😉
Rockwell was a major disappointment for me too. Jackson and Hardy were good choices but they will be cancelled out points-wise. It could be Lawrence that makes the difference here and Mr.Movie also has Channing Tatum which might scrape a few more for Hateful Eight. I thought The Fass might have won it for me but sadly it wasn’t to be!

Check out the penultimate episode of this years Fantasy Acting league over at Oracle of Film. Huge thanks and kudos to Luke for running this great series. Anyone interested in joining for 2016, read the post for instructions on how to join in!

  2. Oh! Oh! Didn’t know there would be a round today! Oh Sienna Miller… I love you. 🙂 Hmm… Has The Hateful Eight been reviewed by Empire? I don’t know. Oh man – the stress is killing me! Know what sucks? There’s a Samuel L Jackson movie out in America right now with no release date here. Lol. Dammit.
