And we’re over the halfway mark. The potential winners have broken away from the pack, needing a few of us to pick up a few miracles to still stand a chance. However, with OSCAR season around the corner, a few massive hitters are still odds to make one of the bottom scorers to suddenly catch up and blow the pack leaders out of the water. I am sorry that this one took so long to collate. Round Eight will probably be ready to be calculated next week. I just got so caught up I didn’t have a chance to sit down and work out the maths behind it all. However, my database is backed up once again and I have an interesting week to show you all.

ROUND ANALYSIS

There is one point between second and first. Cinema Parrot Disco’s steady stream of points seems to have run dry for the time being and while she is still the empire of points with a mind-boggling Sixty, Verbal Spew doesn’t seem to have any breaks on her vehicle. She hits 59 this week and with a least a few trickling points guaranteed from Kate Mara on Fantastic Four, Cinema Parrot Disco might have to wave goodbye to her never-ending lead. Unless Fantastic Four gives Verbal Spew minus points? Judging from Rotten Tomatoes, that could be a possiblity…

Zoe's jaws gone again!

Zoe’s jaws gone again!

It gets a little harder to judge anything else. The middle of the table seems to have collided with each other. There are several clumps of competitors with the same amount of points, which is rather exciting, because it means next round could make or break any number of people. Words of WisTIM, the only scorer to have an actor who picked up any decent amount of points, might be low down soon, but one more heavy-hitter could see him vaulting over several other players. Nothing is certain anymore. Well, except from Movie Rob, who seems to have had to pull over and adjust to his insane, adrenaline pumping seven points from last month.

Players aside, the actors were fairly naff. Tom Cruise is the only one who impressed. Seeing as we don’t have a proper canditate again for Actor of the Month, let’s go with him, seeing as he means something to us specifically. Chris Hemsworth was trapped in a terrible film, apprantely the only thing making that movie worth watching. Channing Tatum was only awarded points for showing up and humping the air. A lot of actors were robbed though. Jeremy Renner deserved more than four points in my eyes, but Empire’s review of Mission Impossible didn’t really get into the nitty, gritty details of anything. Renner should have been given more. It also criticised Terminator V and Ted 2 really harshly. I disagreed a lot with Empire reviews this round. Buck up your ideas. We need to stop Cinema Parrot Disco!

    • You’re giving up??? With Jennifer Lawrence, Tom Hardy, Julianne Moore, Cumberbatch and Gyllenhaal entering OSCAR season? I think you are onto an explosion of points there.
